PETALUMA HIGH SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT

The educational mission of Petaluma High School’s instructional program is to provide a student-centered academic and vocational curriculum. This curriculum will foster responsibility, citizenship, communication, and respect for others and for the world in which we live and promote a lifelong interest in learning. 

To achieve this, the school will provide a safe and orderly learning environment with an exciting and challenging curriculum offering subjects that develop skills, thinking ability, and a commitment to learning.  Essential to our program are a strong staff, guidance and counseling services, a forward thinking and supportive administrative leadership team, current textbooks, sufficient materials and equipment, regularly scheduled student activities, and a wide range of extracurricular programs that encourage student participation.  We will continuously work to foster open communication among students, staff, and parents regarding the effectiveness of our program.
